It is time for us to start recommending war movies to each other. The movies that you recommend can ether be major Hollywood pictures or documentaries. The only thing is that the movie has to be war related.

My first few recommendations.

1. Navy Seals (yes the one with sheen)
2. Heartbreak Ridge
3. Restrepo
4. Top Gun (A classic)

Red Dawn
Hamburger Hill
Saving Private Ryan
and of course Full Metal Jacket.

Black Hawk Down (one of my favorite movies ever of any genre)
We Were Soldiers
The Rock (semi-military! lol)

I wish Hollywood just took the time to make the movies a little more authentic without 50 goofs and shoving their political views in there. I like the movies for what they are though.

By the way, Top Gun 2 will never be able to live up to the expectations. I'm still surprised they're going through with the project...

I have read that Top Gun 2 might just be a rumor at the moment
